A West London based designer maker with a fascination for imperfections, in both life and nature. Drawn to quirks and flaws, there is beauty in the broken, its presence tells a story, discarded objects no longer wanted or abandoned, the intrigue of decay that happens over time. A former student from the Sir John Cass School of Art, who enjoys working with mixed media and found objects, breathing new life into something that is unwanted or discarded. Drawing on eclectic influences creating bold, organically shaped wearable statements that blur the lines between clothing and accessories.
Clare's work often focuses on wear-ability and has a versatile, tactile element where pieces can be worn multiple ways and can be twisted and changed to create the look and feel that the wearer desires. Her current collections are inspired by the spine, nerves, growth and trees, long branch like sections create interesting and versatile pieces underpinned by an ethical philosophy and many of her creations feature recycled rubber inner tubes.
